AssetsForLess.com was founded with the core value of delivering low-cost items to consumers. Although our primary purpose is driven by value, we also find importance in establishing and maintaining relationships with our buyers and suppliers.
Policies & General Terms of Use
We've established a set of guidelines which we ask buyers to consider while doing business with us at AssetsForLess.com. Customers should consider such Policies & Terms of Use regardless of the platform that establishes the buyer-seller relationship or where such transaction takes place. As we advertise across a multitude of platforms, it is important for buyers to remember that our Terms of Use apply to transactions not only on AssetsForLess.com, but any platform for which such transaction is established. We ask customers to review such Terms of Use regardless of where we advertise and we stress that such Terms of Use apply to the transaction, not just the platform. We will attempt to do our part in directing buyers to our Terms Of Use here at AssetsForLess.com wherever our items are offered, including in marketing correspondence and advertisement material. Though we stress the importance in directing buyers to our terms on all platforms, we in no way agree to enlarge our responsibilities to buyers in cases by which a customer fails to review such terms for reasons including accessibility, ease of navigation and placement of such terms. Buyers are responsible for reviewing our terms whenever they wish to do business with us. Such terms shall in no way constitute a contractual obligation by us to any other party. These terms are valid in every transaction we take part in as a seller, and buyers/customers agree to follow such terms where their purchase constitutes their promise to do so. We reserve the right to cancel any transaction at any time for any reason. These terms are subject to change at any time.
Shipping & Handling Policies
"Free Shipping"
Most items we offer are offered with "Free Shipping". This term shall refer to the fulfillment and shipment of items at the most economical and cost effective method deemed fit by us. This method may be USPS Parcel Select, where an item may an extended period of time to arrive. The term "free" shall not constitute that we do not recoup shipping and handling fees. Such term simply means that we recoup such charges within the sale price of such item. In some rare cases, we may fail to estimate shipping and handling fees and may ask buyers to compensate us for the difference in such. This may rarely occur, but we do ask customers for their understanding if such an inconvenient matter were to take place. This shall be considered the slowest and cheapest method for fulfilling items. Other methods are offered including expedited shipping and shipping outside of the United States.
Shipping & Fulfillment Timeframes & Obligations
Though we make every reasonable attempt at fulfilling items in a timely matter, extenuating circumstances to occur. Such circumstances may include waiting on parts or supplies from suppliers, installation of additional parts or accessories, etc. Our default shipping and handling method of "Free Shipping" means the slowest method of fulfillment and this method is included in all items we offer. The timeframe of which we allocate for this method of fulfillment is approximately 60 days, where we also take into account other specialized services deemed necessary for fulfilling such items. This may include cleaning, inspection, testing, installation or repair, changing parts, etc. However the average expected timeframe for items fulfilled with "Free Shipping" should be about two weeks excluding weekends and holidays.. Additionally, the timeframe for expedited shipping methods when such method is explicitly desired and paid for by the buyer shall not exceed seven business days. Though the average timeframe of which we estimate to be 2-4 business days.
Programming of Electronics
We do not accept requests to program any item or electronic specific to a buyers needs. We reserve the right to program items in a limited capacity for the purpose of a generalized sale or offer of such item where such programming may enable us to reach a broader client base. Such example may include updating firmware to such an item where such update may be more desirable to a group of buyers. We do not program, or offer to program any item solely for one buyer's utilization of such item, Whether or not a customer wishes to pay an additional fee for such service. We do not offer any such service of any kind as such service may exceed our initial delivery timeframe that we've allocated.
Claims for Damage & Items Arriving Defective
Any claim for items that arrive damaged must be made directly to the carrier of which delivered such item. Customers who wish to insure an item must purchase optional insurance if/where offered. Any insurance claim must be accompanied by such damaged or defective item and must be returned to us. Such claim will only entitle the customer to a monetary refund not to exceed the original purchase amount, less shipping, handling and insurance fees. We do not honor returns or refunds for claims for defective or malfunctioning merchandise. Customers are advised to inspect all photos carefully to ensure such item meets the customers standards and operational requirements prior to purchase.
Warranty and Return Policies, As-Is Policies
General Guarantees and Warranties
As we've outlined, our core value is to delivering items at a low-cost to buyers. In most cases, such items are used and often came from wholesale, government or corporate entities where such items were deemed as surplus. As one would expect, such origins are often not suitable to be guaranteed in any nature. For this reason, we do not offer warranties or returns on any items. Buyers are asked to use caution when purchasing wholesale or surplus items.
Customers are encouraged to inspect all photos of items purchased to ensure that such item meets the minimum performance and condition requirements as deemed appropriate by the buyer. Completing the purchase and/or checkout of such item constitutes the buyer's express consent as affirming the latter and thus affirms the agreement to this policy. All with any wholesale, used or surplus items, all items are sold in as-is condition where no warranties are expressed or implied.
Condition and Defects
Buyers agree to accept items in their physical state as purchased. This includes items containing default photos, general example photos or where a demo item is pictured where multiple quantities of the same item are offered. Although such items will expressly contain verbiage stating such along with a detailed description of the possible physical defects that may accompany the vast majority of such "lot" of similar items. (Ex: "Items may contain scuffs, scratches and other signs consistent with normal physical use").
